Creative Environments, Inc. is a landscape design and construction company based in Sandy, Utah. The company specializes in the installation of new and the renovation of existing landscapes for both commercial and residential properties. Since day one the business has been built almost exclusively on referrals from existing customers and others involved in the green industry. One of our core philosophies is to provide customers with prompt and professional service before, during and after the sale. Since our founding in 1991 we have installed over $10,000,000 worth of landscaping for customers along the Wasatch Front.
The company was founded by Jim Koolross and Dave Colling, two young entrepeneurs with a passion for landscape and nursery industry. Both started at a retail nursery in Littleton, Colorado in1980. Their retail nursery experience was followed by the founding and operation of a design/ build firm called Timbercrest Landscaping which operated in Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado from 1983 to 1989.
Both Jim and Dave went onto pursue degrees at Colorado State University. Jim recieved a bachelor's degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture while Dave completed an undergraduate degree in business and went on to complete an MBA at Utah State University.
Both partners moved to Utah in 1989 and quickly recognize an opportunity for a professional and service orientedf landscape design/build firm. In 1991 Creative Environments, Inc. was founded. Now in its 20th year of operation the company has flourished by providing top notch products and services.
In 2007 the company entered into a relationship with Rob Simmons who recently completed his landscape design and horticulture degree at Utah State University. Rob provides additional design capabilities along with a strong working knowledge of installation principals.
